Specialty Coffee in Mexico City
Mexico City Coffee Culture
Mexico City is a wonder to behold. One of the most populated cities in the world, the amount and variety of coffee consumed here every day is endless. Stemming from the issue of coffee leaf rust, the country’s coffee shops look to support the Mexico’s own product and economy. Therefore, the best place to try some delicious Mexican specialty coffee is in Mexico itself, which is rather unique for a coffee-producing country. While much of the coffee in Mexico was originally grown in Southern states like Chiapas and Oaxaca, it is now grown all over and Mexico City is a great place to try the final product first hand. To bring the experience to the forefront, there is now an abundance of specialty coffee shops in Mexico City serving everything from pour overs to the traditional milk drinks.
