How to Brew with French Press

Standing the test of time.

An Introduction

The French Press has been around forever in one form or another. This immersion method creates a robust cup of coffee that, when well brewed, is capable of extracting even more of the unique notes of a single origin coffee than many pour over methods. It’s great for a group or if you want to drink more than a few cups. Just note that even with the plunger down, the extraction will continue, so it is recommended to pour the coffee as soon as you depress the plunger.

*Read on to learn how to make French Press coffee the quick and easy way, without weighing or measuring anything. While the meticulous recipes used at coffee shops are incredible and in my opinion bring out the absolute best flavors from every bean and roast, and are my favorite way to drink coffee, when I’m at home making my own daily cup(s), I prefer the easy way and leave the rest to the pros at my favorite coffee shops.

Turkey, Spinach and Avocado Breakfast

While turkey is a healthier choice than beef, the fact that it is ground ensures it provides a strong, powerful flavor, and the mixture with eggs, spinach and avocado balances it out. French Press coffee is also known for its strong, thick flavor and oily in-your-face mouthfeel that packs a punch equal to this ground turkey. Put them together for a killer combo. You won’t regret it!
