Specialty Coffee in Miami

Miami Coffee Culture

“Purists” will say that you should ignore other coffee in Miami and exclusively consume Cuban coffee, whether that’s a cortadito or a café con leche. While I can agree that the small cup of dark roast can be tasty considering how much sugar is in there, and is a nice afternoon pick-me-up, I don’t deal in absolutes. By all means, enjoy it! But, especially if you are in Miami for more than a weekend, don’t miss out on the seriously good light roast single origin coffee that is available in specialty coffee shops in Miami all over town. Then embrace the caffeine and partake in everything Miami has to offer, from great food, history and cultural experiences, to boat tours, water sports and beach time.

Best Pour Over Coffee Shops in Miami

Panther Coffee in Coconut Grove, Miami

Panther Coffee

Panther Coffee is a local chain that hasn’t succumbed to the pressure of ditching pour over coffee as it expands like many coffee shops do, and I give them all the credit for that, because the couple beans I tried over a few days were all excellent. larger Dayglow has it all. I also tried a cold brew and as you might expect, it was just what one needs on a humid Miami afternoon.

White Rose Coffee in Coral Gables, Miami

White Rose Coffee

A combined space that houses both a tattoo parlor and a specialty coffee shop in Miami, White Rose Coffee is a welcome environment for all. You can even grab a pre-workout coffee before heading to the gym next door. Solid pastries, including some Cuban fare you’ll find only in Miami round out the menu and of course I wouldn’t be recommending it if the pour over wasn’t excellent.

Breezeblock Coffee in Brickell, Miami

Breezeblock Coffee

Occupying the ground floor of an apartment building in Brickell, the financial center of Miami, Breezeblock is simultaneously unassuming and also extremely welcoming. This respite from the hustle of the city streets is a nice place to relax if you’re in town on a business trip and need a break, or want an especially quiet weekend walk. Highly recommend their pour over.
