Valparaíso Coffee Culture

For many years, Valparaíso took a backseat behind neighboring Viña del Mar as a tourist destination. Sure, Viña has beaches, a casino, and a famous music festival to its name, while Valparaíso is traditionally a port city with a business district and many government offices and courts, but you would be missing out if you don’t make the effort to visit during your Chilean coast excursion outside of Santiago. Valparaíso has a vibrant street art scene and so much character in its numerous hills and alleyways. Hell, even Red Bull hosts a yearly downhill mountain bike race through the streets and tight corners. And if that wasn’t enough, you can also find some excellent specialty coffee in Valparaíso if you look in the right places.
